Boosting our immune system is not as simple as it looks. Simply taking the supplement and products available in the grocery store that claim to boost your immune system is not enough. Your immune system should work in coordination. It should not be strong enough to start acting against the body’s cells and cause allergies and other diseases and should not be weak to let the infections spread in your body. It should maintain an equilibrium. Here are a few ways to strengthen our immune system.

 As your car needs good quality fuel to run smoothly, similarly, your body needs a healthy and well-balanced diet to work efficiently. Studies have shown us that malnourished people living in poverty are more vulnerable to effect from diseases. Make sure to take daily caloric requirements. 

 Micronutrients have proved their worth in providing an excellent immune system. Micronutrient deficiency leads to several diseases, such as low iron and folic acid levels leading to anaemia. Vitamin C deficiency may also lead to impaired wound healing leading to infections; vitamin e is the main body antioxidant. Its deficiency leads to muscle weakness and vision loss. Vitamin D deficiency leads to rickets and bone loss. 

 So, if you are taking a diet that does not contain all the micronutrients, go for the daily multivitamin supplements that can boost your immune system and prevent diseases. 

 2. Role of stress 

 A healthy mind is part and parcel of a healthy body. Scientists have found out a close relationship between mind and body. A wide variety of diseases, including anxiety, hypertension, stomach upset and even heart diseases, are linked to stress. Short term stress does not cause enough damage to the immune system, but the long term constant stress, such as caused by family issues, relationships, and continued stress to perform at work, are the main concerns for scientists.  4. Get good sleep

 Your body needs rest after all the tiring work you do. During sleep, hundreds of processes happen in your body, infection-fighting molecules are made. Researches have shown us that people who do not sleep well are more prone to get infected. So, if you are trouble getting sleep, consult your doctor.

5. Keep yourself hydrated.

 Water plays a vital role in our system, A medium for the reactions happening in the body, especially in energy production. Water removes toxins from the body and fights against infection. If you are not taking enough water, your body will become dehydrated. Dehydration reduces the function of the lymphatic system, which leads to an impaired immune system.
