“This is not art: it is ghetto rubbish!” says Femi Fani -Kayode. True or false?
Its event night again in Lagos, Nigeria. for the movie premiere of Prophetess by Niyi Akinmolayan which is due to be out in cinemas on the 2nd of April.
The lead role was played by Toyin Abraham as well as a lot of other Nollywood celebrities.
All Celebrities arrived in different; looks and designs showcasing class and style of the Nigerian Christian celestial appearance to show purity and pureness in Christ in a more stylish fashionably way.
Toyin Lawani’s choice of design caught everyone’s eye, leading to fans and social media users critics wondering what she had in mind when she decided to appear in such a different style holiness which was quite audaciously bold.
The comment that caught our attention was that of Mr Femi Fani Kayode. He expresses how disgusted he was in the sentence, “Disrespectful, tasteless, tactless, shameless, bestial, blasphemous, heretical, disgusting, provocative, outrageous, anti-Christ, totally and completely unacceptable.”
Among other comments on social media are different points laid out about how Toyin has disrespected Christianity by showing up to the occasion in such a way. Many are talking about tribes, cultural differences, and the origin of Christianity.
On this note we would like to hear your views too.
What’s your opinion, and what do you think of her representation of the movie Prophetess? Is it purely a thing of religious representation or a representation of art based on the movie that was produced? leave your comments below.

So, I read the text and can’t really understand why people do that kind of thing. For money?? For 5 minutes in tv?? However we all will die in one day and after we will need to explain that kind of behaviour. Its shame not for Christian just for all that “stars”. I dont really spend my time reading or watching that shit becouse its not worth of single second.
Thanks for sharing your view.
I believe in free speech which of course extends to art, theatre, cinema etc. So as long as people are not being hurt then people should be able to express their opinions in whatever way they want. I don’t have to agree of course but that’s just my opinion. As someone clever once said ‘I may not agree with what you are saying, but I will fight to the death to defend your right to say it’.
