These days, designers are at their homes, and many most awaited fashion and film events are cancelled such as Ralph Lauren’s Fall Show, Burberry’s Fall Show and Met Gala etc. Some brands even closed their e-commerce stores such as Victoria’s Secret and Pink for a temporary period. Although at the same time there are some events which are about to happen virtually during COVID-19 such as Zero Waste Summit and Girl Boss Rally etc. Girl Boss Rally is offering online streaming that is free for the audience and those who have purchased the tickets will get refunds.

Putting aside, what is no longer trending and what is still ongoing in the fashion industry let us talk about the initiatives which these brands are taking to work for the tragic cause. Well, many leading brands are making protective masks and some other useful supplies instead of making extravagant gowns that are a brave move. Besides, there are donations to help those who are in utmost need of resources. So let’s see what the brands are doing during the Coronavirus pandemic!

Fashion brands and their role during COVID-19:

Burberry:

The well known British brand Burberry has donated 100,000 surgical masks to the workers of NHS and also showed their concern for a factory that will manufacture non-surgical masks as well as gowns for the patients admitted in British hospitals.

  • Crocs:

Crocs decided to donate 10,000 slip-on shoes to the healthcare workers every day during the front lines of the pandemic.

  • Jimmy Choo:

This iconic brand gave an announcement for the donation of $500,000 to support the efforts of healthcare units all around the world, including the brand’s home.

  • Nobis:

Though Nobis has already donated $100,000 to the Canadian hospitals but still this brand is planning to offer 100% of the online sale for the pandemic cause.

  • Gap:

Gap is also doing worth praising efforts for the underserved families as it donated 1 million dollars to the non-profit organizations which were supporting these families.

  • Ralph Lauren:

A remarkable brand like Ralph Lauren has decided to donate 10 million dollars to those charities which are giving their best to work for those people who are in the hour of need. This brand is currently making 25,000 hospital gowns with 250,000 masks. Moreover, they also announced that although most stores and outlets are closed, business owners still have to pay their employees.

  • Carolina Herrera:

Caroline Herrera is known for their outstanding dresses along with amazing perfumes and accessories. This brand has also taken the initiative to help those who are suffering during COVID-19. They are working on making some much-needed masks and gowns for sanitary personnel and food suppliers and manufacturers.

  • Canada Goose:

Canada Goose donated $140,000 to Wuhan Charity Foundation and are also planning to manufacture surgical stuff for the workers who need them the most. Their plan is also to deliver 1.5 million gowns across Canada in April.
